EN Argenta, EkoNiva Group's in-house bred soya bean variety, has won the first Plant Breeding Breakthrough national industry-specific prize in the Market Popularity category.

Nowadays, youth migrating to cities, trying to build a career there and ‘find themselves’ has become became a matter of course. Nevertheless, Anna Yershova from the Novosibirsk division of EkoNiva chose another way: a girl from the city moved to a Siberian village and started working at the agricultural holding. According to her, it was the best decision of her life.

Russia’s largest dairy holding EkoNiva Group has topped the national annual ranking of raw milk producers for the ninth year in a row. Prepared by analysts of National Dairy Producers Union (Soyuzmoloko), Streda Consulting and Milknews industry-specific agency, the ranking recognises top-30 Russian companies based on gross milk yield in 2024.

EkoNiva Group, Russia’s largest dairy holding, announces the start of cash crop and commercial seed harvesting. The enterprises of the Voronezh, Kursk and Ryazan oblasts have made the most progress so far.

The first youth ambassador forum has taken place on July 8-10 at the production sites of the Group’s Voronezh division. The meeting brought together students with proactive attitude representing 25 leading universities and colleges in different regions of Russia.

EkoNiva Group has become a partner of International Plant Breeding Summer School 2025 ‘Modern Plant Breeding Technologies’. The educational event united more than 150 students from Russia and countries across the former Soviet Union and beyond, including Serbia, Iran, Belarus, Vietnam, China, Gabon and Zambia. The two-week programme includes lectures, seminars and practical classes in laboratories. Moreover, the project’s participants visited EkoNiva’s branch office located in Moscow as well as had a tour of Bortnikovo dairy farm.

EkoNiva has held a field seminar for farmers of Voronezh, Volgograd and Rostov oblasts.

The cow Luka from EkoNiva’s Ryazan subdivision has become the vice champion at the Best Ryazan Cows 2025 trade show.

Plans are afoot for EkoNiva to strengthen its foothold in Ryazan oblast and invest in its economy. At St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, the holding’s President Stefan Dürr and the Governor of the region Pavel Malkov have signed an additional cooperation agreement.
