Press-centre / News,
The farm is designed for 3,550 dairy cows and 5,100 heifers
Marat Zyabbarov, Minister of Agriculture and Food of Tatarstan, paid visit to Bugulma municipal district. Accompanied by Linar Zakirov, Head of District, and Stefan Duerr, EkoNiva Group President, he came to see the progress of Naratly dairy farm construction.
The project implemented by Severnaya Niva Tatarstan is designed for 3,550 dairy cows, 5,100 head of young stock and the daily milk output of 100 tonnes. Upon the completion, the total investment to Naratly dairy facility is going to be over 4 billion rubles.
The facility includes 4 barns, calf barns, heifer lots, forage storage and a sanitation station. The rotary milking parlour has already been installed. It features a round platform on a concrete deck enabling simultaneous milking of 72 cows with utmost comfort. A cow steps onto the rotary platform and takes a stall. An operator treats the udder with special disinfectants and attaches a unit. Milking takes one full round of the rotary; the milking unit is automatedly sterilised after each cow without any human intervention.
The first batches of heifers to populate the barns are already arriving at the farm, mostly – from EkoNiva breeding farms in Voronezh oblast and partially – from Germany. The operation is going to apply tag reading equipment to identify animals and special software to manage the herd and its nutrition.
EkoNiva dairy operation will be a significant contribution to the prosperity growth of Bugulma district and the entire southeast of the Republic and ensure the sustainable social and economic development of the rural areas in the region.
