EkoNiva dairy farm managers upgrade their skills
Press-centre / News,
On 15-17 March, the Ryazan operation of EkoNiva Group hosted a crash course for the herd managers of dairy farms of Voronezh and Tyumen subdivisions. Eight specialists took part in the training.
The programme began with the visit to Nesterovo farm and Shchatsk mega-dairy, which is EkoNiva’s largest project designed for 6,000 head of dairy cows and 7,800 head of young stock. The raw milk yield amounts to 180 tonnes daily. The issues discussed during the training session on the farm covered facility monitoring, heifer growing, economics of dairy cow feeding and milk production costs.
Over the course of the year, heads of all 40 EkoNiva dairy subdivisions will take this comprehensive training course.
‘This is the first time we have run a series of workshops aimed at the professional development of our dairy farm managers. We hope that this will equip them with the expertise required for production process management and improve the key performance indicators of our dairy facilities’, comments Boris Morev, EkoNiva Corporate Academy Manager.
