EkoNiva’s dairy in Verkhniy Ikorets, Voronezh oblast, has hosted the first offsite meeting of the National Dairy Producers Union (Soyuzmoloko). Among the participants were Stefan Duerr, Chairman of Soyuzmoloko and President of EkoNiva Group, Artyom Belov, Director General of Soyuzmoloko, and other key players in the milk market, including MolSib, Karat, Damate, Tetra Pak, Hochland, Molvest, Detskoselskiy concern etc.

The event attendees discussed the results achieved by the Union management and dedicated committees, the current situation in the industry and its prospects for development. During the meeting, the participants raised the issues of lowering export barriers, interacting with the government and retail chains, taking anti-crisis measures in the dairy sector. In addition, they decided to accept 15 more members to the Union.

During the visit, Soyuzmoloko’s Board had a tour of EkoNiva’s Dobrino farm and cheese plant in Shchuchye village, where they were treated to dairy products manufactured by the company, including the premium hard cheese Dürr.
