EkoNiva launches tours at Shchuchye cheese plant
Press-centre / News,
EkoNiva Group, Russia’s largest raw milk producer, reports on the launch of the tour project at the cheese plant in Shchuchye, Voronezh oblast. Now the visitors can see with their own eyes all cheese production stages from the own raw milk selection to the finished product reception.
EkoNiva’s guests will take a fascinating journey into the world of cheese making. Experienced guides will trace the history of cheese back to its origins, highlight the most significant milestones and demonstrate the cheese-making technologies of the past. Then participants will be introduced to the full cycle of modern cheese production. At the end of the tour, attendees will take part in the tasting session of Shchuchye and Kolybelka semi-hard cheeses and premium-quality Dürr hard cheese.
Just after the programme launch, the tour will be available for students and business representatives only, and later, in autumn, the site will open its doors for all comers.
EkoNiva farm tour project operates in Voronezh and Kaluga oblasts to implement the goal of being honest and transparent about raw milk production and processing. At the cheese plant, visitors can learn how adherence to the ‘from field to shop shelf’ principle enables EkoNiva to bring milk quality to a new level to create an authentic taste of its cheese.
The numbers speak for themselves: over 100,000 guests, including school pupils and agricultural university students, groups of tourists and business partners of EkoNiva Group, have visited the dairies in Voronezh and Kaluga oblasts since 2013. In April 2022, EkoNiva farm tour project in Kaluga oblast received an award for the best interactive content within the National Industrial Tourism Accelerator Programme held by the Agency for Strategic Initiatives (ASI).
‘We are happy to present our new project – tour of EkoNiva crown jewel – a cheese plant, where we implement the best properties of our milk to produce the premium quality Dürr hard cheese. We hope that this project will be a hit with the public same as our farm tours in Voronezh and Kaluga oblasts. You are welcome to discover the world of farming and cheese making with us!’
