Fyodor Konyukhov, a world-famous Russian traveller, spent a day at EkoNiva facilities in Kaluga oblast learning about modern dairy cow and calf care, milk processing and dairy production and discussing the details of his coming expedition with the Company President Stefan Duerr. In December, the traveller is planning to attempt the first solo crossing of the Pacific Ocean aboard a solar-powered catamaran. EkoNiva is one of the sponsors of this project.

EkoNiva-Semena has participated in AgroExpoCrimea 2021, a specialised agricultural trade fair which took place in Yalta. Around 1,200 gallons of leafcutter bees, which is equivalent to approximately 12 million larvae, has arrived at Zashchitnoye, Kursk oblast, following the shipment from Canada to Russia by a temperature-controlled air freight. This kind of bees is a must-have for every livestock farming operation since they are second to none at cross-pollinating alfalfa on an industrial scale, thus dramatically increasing alfalfa seed yield.

An annual agricultural conference devoted to the upcoming spring field works was held in Novosibirsk oblast. This time, Cherepanovo enterprise, which is part of Sibirskaya Niva, became the meeting place for the local farmers. More than 70 managers and chief specialists of agricultural companies from all over the district gathered to discuss plans for the future season, as well as to see how Ogneva Zaimka dairy operates.
